About The Position

The Machine Operator safely operates and maneuvers around production machines and magnets in the Canning Plant/Distribution Center. The role requires attention to traffic, equipment alignment, coworkers, safety policies, GMPs, and food safety requirements. The operator maintains a clean work environment and completes a Daily Maintenance Form. Hours are 3:25 PM–2:00 AM.

Requirements

• Ability to safely turn machines on and off.
• Working understanding of food safety requirements as outlined in SQF and USDA.
• Follow safety policies and GMPs.

Responsibilities

• Safely turn machines on and off.
• Safely run and maneuver around magnets while production is running.
• Use caution when operating machines in the Canning Plant/Distribution Center; ensure they are correctly lined up and traffic is clear.
• Remain aware of the surroundings and fellow employees throughout the workday to follow safety policies and GMPs and avoid potential accidents.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Understand food safety requirements outlined in SQF and USDA guidance.
• Complete the Daily Maintenance Form.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
