About The Position

The Machine Operator performs coating and related production operations in the manufacture of surface protection products. The role ensures products meet customer specifications while following company health, safety, and quality standards. The position is identified as second shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience as a machine operator.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operations and coating processes.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Forklift operation experience or willingness to be trained.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs using proper techniques.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Nice To Haves

• Machine operator experience with coating, slitting, laminating, or similar processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce finished products according to work orders and specifications.
• Operate the 475 machine according to written instructions (JSA) and manufacturing processes.
• Monitor product quality and cleanliness throughout production.
• Identify and report substandard materials or process issues to the supervisor.
• Accurately document and record production and quality assurance activities.
• Prepare and mix adhesives, release coatings, and inks for production.
• Set plates and mount them onto shafts as required.
• Perform general material handling and support production operations.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in the work area.
