About The Position

SpaceAge Synthetics is seeking a Machine Operator for its weekend day shift. The operator runs a press machine or CNC table router and directs the activities of an assigned Material Handler. The role involves understanding customer and machine requirements and learning to program press settings, including speed and material quantities. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM. Voluntary overtime is available. The position pays $22.00 per hour to start, depending on experience, and the company states that employees work 36 hours and are paid for 40. SpaceAge Synthetics manufactures fiberglass-reinforced polyurethane boards for industries where moisture can damage traditional plywood.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Prior manufacturing or machine-operation experience.
• Basic math skills, including adding fractions and division.
• Ability to meet the position's lifting demands: moderate lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional heavy lifting of 75 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of or experience working with fiberglass.
