About The Position

Machine Operator I sets up and operates a production machine according to established procedures and guidelines, and secures and maintains the materials and supplies needed for the operation. The role also checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards, maintains production records as required, and helps keep the work area and equipment safe, clean, and organized.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
• Working knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
• Stack completed products according to established procedures; cover, label, and band components or finished products if required.
• Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift or startup equipment inspection checklists and report problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Follow established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
