About The Position

The Machine Operator operates the egg processing machine and up to 20 associated egg packaging machines. The role manages the daily processing plan and runs the machine efficiently based on the plan and available egg mix. Duties include setting up the machine and date codes, managing carton inventory, and staging cartons for the day’s run. The operator helps deliver high-quality products while supporting the company’s commitments to animal welfare, food safety, and responsible farming.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in a processing environment preferred.
Proficiency with basic math.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adjust the work schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

Arrive punctually and maintain reliable attendance.
Check the board daily to verify date codes and their accuracy.
Set up and clean up the machine daily.
Ensure cartons are printed with the correct date codes.
Coordinate processing according to the daily processing plan and adjust as necessary throughout the day.
Manage egg flow using a computer touch screen.
Keep the work area clean, including cleaning up egg matter when time allows and always before breaks.
Manage carton inventory and stage cartons for the day’s run.
