About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. The Machine Operator monitors and adjusts machine settings as needed and notifies the supervisor if machines require maintenance, all while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Box Machine Operator lifts stacks of flat cartons from a pallet and places them into the box-making machines. As the machines form boxes, the operator monitors the equipment for quality, makes adjustments, and removes box jams. If equipment fails, the operator will assist in making boxes by hand until repairs are completed. This position is also responsible for the general upkeep of the equipment during the shift, keeping it free of debris and glue build-ups, and maintaining the box machine room area. Other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must complete an on-line job application in Workday.
  • Must have 6 months continuous work history in 2 years.
  • All applicants must provide their government identification number for the purpose of checking previous employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Facility accepts rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than 2 previous times. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.

  • Performing general upkeep of the box machine room area.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
