About The Position

This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This facility operates seven days a week and produces Bacon Toppings and Tacos. The starting pay is $19.90 an hour, with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 6 months of operator experience, with the same employer, documented in the work history section of the application.
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
  • Must wear safety equipment, etc. and follow GMP’s and Safety Policies.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Work in hot, cold, and wet environments.
  • Occasionally work with paint and solvent.

Responsibilities

  • Read and or write to maintain documentation of inventory, raw materials used, oven temps and other production records as they arise on a daily basis.
  • Operate and make adjustments to MPO oven to ensure proper cooking temperatures of product according to Critical Control Points.
  • Operate and make adjustments to Raw Material dicer to ensure correct product size and adequate product flow.
  • Make adjustments to pre-cooker to assure proper product temperatures according to Critical Control Points.
  • Monitor and maintain grease flow for production needs.
  • Monitor heat exchanger, grease tanks, grease filters and screeners and report deficiencies to maintenance and or department supervisor.
  • Communicate verbally with team members and management.
  • Notify management of any mechanical, material, or quality issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Operate Electric Hand Jack.
  • Read explicit simple instructions and do required paperwork.
  • Become knowledgeable of Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, and Tyson Foods policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required by Supervisor.
