About The Position

Everlast Roofing is seeking a mechanically inclined Machine Operator/Maintenance Trainee to join its manufacturing team in Bridgton, Maine. The role is suited to an experienced machine operator with hands-on maintenance knowledge who wants to develop into a future maintenance technician. The selected candidate will receive training on all production equipment and work closely with the experienced maintenance team to develop troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday, four 10-hour shifts, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating days off. Pay is $22–$30 per hour, paid biweekly.

Requirements

Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs.
Willingness to learn maintenance functions and develop technical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

Experience with industrial machinery maintenance.
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems.
Previous experience performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot machine equipment to maintain production goals.
Perform routine equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns.
Assist with basic repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
Learn the operation and maintenance requirements of all production equipment.
Work closely with the maintenance technician to learn machine systems, repairs, and troubleshooting techniques.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance records as required.
Follow company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
