About The Position

Da/Pro Rubber, Inc. is seeking motivated Machine Operators/Inspectors to inspect, sort, and weigh molded plastic parts to ensure they meet customer specifications. The role supports injection molding operations and secondary processes. No prior experience is required, and training is provided. Employees may have opportunities for advancement as they gain experience and demonstrate their abilities. The position operates injection molding machines when required, performs in-process and post-molding tasks, documents production and quality information, and reports quality or mechanical concerns. The role is based in Newburyport, Massachusetts and reports to the Supervisor, Maintenance, as stated in the job description.

Responsibilities

Operate injection molding machines according to Method of Manufacture (MOM) instructions when required.
Record molded-part quantities on job travelers and enter data into Epicor.
Inspect manufactured parts for conformance to specifications.
Identify, document, and remove nonconforming products by defect type according to part specifications.
Notify the Production Supervisor of excessive defects or quality concerns.
Perform in-process operations such as trimming, packing, and other secondary tasks according to MOM instructions.
Complete post-molding operations as required.
Count, weigh, and record accepted and rejected parts.
Read and interpret job travelers to determine inspection specifications and requirements.
Complete documentation related to rework and nonconforming materials.
Report quality or mechanical issues to the Production Supervisor or Mold Technician.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address issues.
Work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
Perform other duties as assigned.
