About The Position

Candidate will be assigned to operate and set up conventional or numerical control (NC) machines to fabricate parts, applying knowledge of shop math, machinability of materials and drawings.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Problem solving and Organization skills
Knowledge of various types of construction and or heavy equipment

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience in a heavy industrial or construction environment is preferred

Responsibilities

Ability to run overhead crane and safely operate machines
Ability to determine part dimensions, sequence of operations and setup
Ability to read tape measure to the 16th and verify results
Run/cut material according to production plan
Perform daily operational checks and cleanup at beginning and end of shifts
Properly mark parts and complete storage for the next shop
Cut and bend parts based on required tolerance per engineering standards
Select, align and secure holder accessories and materials on machines
Regulate machining factors such as, speed, feed, flow, depth and angle or edits to ensure accuracy
Meet production schedule
Responsible for keeping daily inventory of WIP material and stock material to ensure material flow is not interrupted
Perform quality checks and responsible for daily maintenance of machines, which will include, but not limited, to cleaning, lubricating, oil changes
Perform daily blast profiles (1st plate, middle, and last plate)
Troubleshoot to operator’s level maintenance
