About The Position

Primarily responsible for operating a moderately complex machine in a manufacturing environment. The role includes preparing parts, operating and maintaining the assigned machine, performing quality checks, and supporting a safe and orderly work environment. The employee will receive training on the specific machine to be operated.

Duties and responsibilities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time, with or without notice. Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities, including promptly reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents to supervisors; wearing required personal protective equipment; and participating in and supporting safety committee activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to read and follow documented instructions in English or Spanish.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work accurately from verbal and written instructions and procedures.
• Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct receipt inspection and prepare parts for processing.
• Ensure the assigned machine is in good working condition.
• Operate the machine in accordance with established procedures.
• Use knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems and report other problems to the supervisor.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies without waste.
• Clean the machine after operations and place discarded material in designated areas.
• Conduct multiple spot checks during the workday to ensure products meet established standards.
• Maintain a log of items identified as out of tolerance with established standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, follow safety policies and procedures, and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Report hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents to supervisors; wear required personal protective equipment; and participate in safety committee activities.
