Machine Operator III

About The Position

Primarily responsible for operating a moderately complex machine in a manufacturing environment. The employee prepares parts for processing, operates and cleans assigned equipment, conducts product quality checks, and follows workplace safety procedures. The role includes training on the specific machine to be operated. Work is described as self-paced with 8-hour shifts. The employee may infrequently be exposed to fumes, loud noises, and extreme temperatures.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Ability to read and follow documented instructions in English or Spanish.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work accurately from verbal and written instructions and procedures.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
Ability to lift up to 150 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Related experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect received parts and prepare items for processing.
Ensure the assigned machine is in good working condition.
Operate the machine according to established procedures.
Use knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems and report other problems to a supervisor.
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies without waste.
Clean the machine after operations and place discarded material in designated areas.
Conduct multiple spot checks during the workday to ensure products meet established standards.
Maintain a log of items identified as out of tolerance with established standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow safety policies and procedures.
Report unsafe conditions, hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents to a supervisor.
Wear required personal protective equipment and participate in and support safety committee activities.
