Machine Operator I
About The Position
Machine Operator I sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, and secures and maintains the materials and supplies needed for the operation. The role includes preparing the work area, safely feeding and operating the machine, stacking completed products, and checking materials and finished products for compliance with standards. The operator maintains production records, completes equipment inspections, and keeps the work area clean, organized, and safe. The position also participates in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings, and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete work area setup.
- Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Stack completed products according to established procedures; when required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
- Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
- Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklists and report problems or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Maintain production records as required.
- Check materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
- Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
