About The Position

The Machine Operator I supports production by operating a variety of equipment to produce quality products according to provided criteria and work instructions. The role works with cross-functional departments to maintain part quality, proper procedures, a safe and productive work environment, and company culture standards. The position is on A Shift, 5 a.m.–3 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Basic math skills.
Basic mechanical skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and understand provided work instructions.

Nice To Haves

Machine operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow safety policies and practice 6S standards to maintain a safe, clean working environment; identify and escalate potential safety risks.
Operate equipment independently or as part of a team according to work instructions.
Use electronic devices to reference work instructions, control plans, and visual criteria, and accurately log production numbers.
Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining production pace and quality standards and meeting delivery, efficiency, and quality metrics.
Recognize equipment problems and respond appropriately, escalating as needed.
Monitor product quality using visual criteria and escalate issues to appropriate personnel.
Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools as needed to position or move components and parts properly.
Work with the Machine Set Up Technician to resolve equipment problems.
Clean equipment as required and conduct prescribed Autonomous Maintenance tasks.
Place processed parts into containers and palletize them according to work instructions and specified quantities per part tag.
Perform other duties and projects as determined by business and production needs.
