Machine Operator I - 1st Shift

About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Machine Operator I operates automated manufacturing equipment for Jabil-manufactured assemblies. The position involves routine equipment setup, operation, and adjustment; machine and materials readiness; monitoring production and rejects; maintaining documentation and an orderly work area; and potentially performing basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting. The employee follows work direction provided verbally or through visual aids and setup sheets, and complies with applicable safety, health, and company security procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months to one year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain all required job-related certifications.

Responsibilities

Perform routine equipment setup, operation, and adjustment.
Coordinate with team members to set up machines according to setup sheets.
Keep the board loader and feeders supplied with the correct parts and prepare feeders for the next production run in advance.
Maintain and load the solder screen printer; operate the LSM machine to check solder paste application on boards; and enter data into the CIQ system.
Keep the work area orderly by tubing fallout parts and cleaning the area and machines as needed.
Monitor machine rejects to ensure parts are sorted and run daily.
Maintain necessary documentation.
May perform basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting.
Keep the assigned area clean and organized.
Follow work direction provided verbally or through visual aids and setup sheets.
Follow safety and health rules and regulations, as directed by the supervisor.
Comply with procedures within the company security policy.
