About The Position

The Machine Operator I is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for manufacturing products safely and efficiently to support company objectives. The role is based at Tosoh SMD, Inc.’s Grove City, Ohio manufacturing facility and is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor. Employees who meet or exceed performance expectations are eligible for a $0.50-per-hour increase after 90 days and an additional $0.50-per-hour increase after 180 days, providing an opportunity to increase their hourly rate by up to $1.00 during their first six months.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and understand process documents.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds regularly and routinely.
• Frequent bending and twisting.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by the process.

Nice To Haves

• Trade or technical school experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow process documents, including work instructions, procedures, and inspection criteria.
• Report results in the appropriate Quality Management System (QMS) and communicate non-conformances to leadership.
• Manufacture products in accordance with defined output standards, as measured by daily operational efficiency.
• Demonstrate schedule flexibility when pursuing training opportunities that support personal and company objectives.
• Understand and follow all safety requirements; communicate identified risks to leadership and assist with resolution.
• Complete 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Contribute to the company culture by aligning with company values and code of conduct.
• Maintain a positive attitude, show enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicate effectively and professionally with team members.
• Perform other related duties.
