About The Position

Laars Heating Systems Company is seeking a Machine Operator. With little supervision, the Machine Operator sets up, operates, and performs simple maintenance on a variety of specialized production equipment. The role may involve sorting, loading, unloading, checking, and inspecting. The operator keeps necessary records and reports rejects and failure patterns, works from sketches, diagrams, drawings, and written and verbal instructions, and maintains a quality focus while meeting production rates. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Fridays as overtime. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints.
Previous experience operating high-volume manufacturing equipment.
Experience using common hand tools.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and perform simple maintenance on specialized production equipment.
Sort, load, unload, check, and inspect materials or products as needed.
Keep necessary records and report rejects and failure patterns.
Work from sketches, diagrams, drawings, and written and verbal instructions.
Maintain quality while meeting production rates.
Respond appropriately to system, process, or material problems.
Perform required inventory functions, including inquiries, updates, transactions, and certificates.
Follow standard operating procedures using the correct materials and tools.
Perform required product changeover and startup tasks.
Set up machines.
Understand job hazards and demonstrate safe behaviors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
