About The Position

As a Machine Operator, you will perform a variety of machine-specific functions. The role includes identifying and prioritizing work, setting up machinery, operating machine controls, performing changeovers and tool changes, maintaining equipment, and preparing parts for the next manufacturing process. The position requires the ability to work 2nd shift.

Requirements

• Machine operator experience is preferred.
• Blueprint-reading skills.
• Ability to understand and convert decimals and fractions.
• Detail-oriented.
• Computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to move at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and use hand tools for 8–10 hours per day.
• Ability to wear the necessary PPE for the position.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience is preferred; in-house certification will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Identify, confirm, and prioritize work to be performed.
• Set up machinery and perform tool changes as needed.
• Perform changeovers.
• Load programs and inputs into machine controls.
• Perform and record daily preventive maintenance on machines and equipment used.
• Use proper tools on the machine.
• Bunch, label, and stage parts for the next manufacturing process.
• Practice exceptional housekeeping.
• Understand lockout/tagout procedures.
