Machine Operator- Fabric Cutting Machine
About The Position
This position involves operating a computerized cutting machine to cut various fabrics, vinyls, and leathers for commercial office furniture. The role requires a high attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures to ensure the correct application of fabrics. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for assisting in other areas of the department, such as sewing, gluing, assembly, packing, and material handling, when capacity issues arise. Requirements
- Computer use
- Read and understand production paperwork.
- Work overtime as necessary.
- High attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with fabric cutting machines
- Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) inspections
- Experience in sewing, gluing, assembly, or packing
Responsibilities
- Cut fabrics, vinyls, and leathers using a computerized cutting machine following established practices.
- Load and unload materials.
- Operate the cutting machine.
- Change tooling.
- Read production paperwork.
- Conduct daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) inspections.
- Follow established procedures to ensure correct application of fabrics.
- Assist in other areas of the department (sewing, gluing, assembly, packing, material handling, etc.) when capacity issues arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
