About The Position

Using a computerized cutting machine, this role is responsible for cutting various fabrics used on commercial office furniture. The position requires a high attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures to ensure the correct application of fabrics. The Machine Operator will also assist in other areas of the department when capacity issues arise.

Requirements

• Computer use
• Read and understand production paperwork.
• Work overtime as necessary.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fabrics, vinyls, leathers using computerized cutting machine following established practices.
• Load & unload materials.
• Operate machine.
• Change tooling.
• Read production paperwork.
• Conduct daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) inspections.
• Follows established procedures to ensure correct application of fabrics.
• Assisting in other areas of the department (sewing, gluing, assembly, packing, material handling, etc.) when capacity issues arise.
• Other duties as assigned.
