About The Position

The Machine Operator Assistant keeps converting and printing machines supplied with paper, ink, glue, and cartons while learning the mechanics of flexographic and converting machinery. The position works in a clean, air-conditioned production environment with new machinery. First- and second-shift hours are available, Monday through Friday. Ongoing training is required.

Requirements

• Knowledge and use of assigned hand tools, including a tape measure, screwdriver, and wrenches.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to manage job-related stress effectively and foster productive workplace interactions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds daily.
• Must adhere to safety regulations, including use of PPE.

Nice To Haves

• Previous machine operating and packaging experience.
• Experience with large rolls of paper or plastic.

Responsibilities

• Change paper rolls and printing plates.
• Monitor the machines and keep them supplied with paper, glue, and ink.
• Pack paper bags as necessary.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Maintain a safe working environment on production lines and follow safety regulations, including using PPE.
• Maintain dependable attendance and accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Complete ongoing training as required.
