About The Position

The Machine Operator 2 is responsible for operating production equipment and meeting area production goals. This role involves setting up and operating assigned equipment, potentially using a computer to load printer software, and loading/unloading sealing and printing equipment with product and packaging material. The operator must recognize and react to problems with equipment, make adjustments as required, and inspect and verify product according to quality standards. Collaboration with a Set Up Technician is expected to resolve equipment issues. Responsibilities also include cleaning equipment, breaking down scrap packages, working effectively within small teams, and accurately completing documentation such as scrap tickets, daily production sheets, and updating the hourly goal board. Maintaining production pace and standards, adhering to all safety requirements, and practicing 5Ss are essential.

Requirements

  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of machine operation experience

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate assigned equipment
