The Machine Operator 2 operates numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate aerospace parts per engineering specifications. This position works in the machine shop environment throughout the workday. This environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and vapor from coolant, etc. Individuals must stand for much of the workday. Work activities involve combinations of walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and carrying and standing for extended periods and performing some very repetitive activities. Work requires the ability to see, hear and smell in order to detect problems. The work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required. Safety training is required and provided by the Company in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and Company policy.
