About The Position

The Boring Operator performs operational work related to setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery on a boring line. The operator is expected to work proficiently and consistently at or above target production levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Requirements

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to perform simple math.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up equipment for production runs.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality.
• Make minor machine adjustments and troubleshoot downtime.
• Inspect finished products for defects and perform quality control inspections.
• Complete production records and reports.
• Participate in and contribute to the company safety program.
• Follow safety procedures and workplace regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform routine cleaning.
• Read a tape measure and perform simple math.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
