About The Position

Eriez is seeking a Machine Assembler to assemble component parts according to blueprints and schematics. The role verifies component quantities and completed-item quality, manages parts inventory, and uses hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products. It supports customer satisfaction by helping ensure Eriez equipment operates safely and reliably.

Requirements

Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow assembly procedures, instruction manuals, and material/pick lists.
Use basic shop math, including decimals and fractions.
Use measuring tools to verify the accuracy of cut materials.
Read and listen to assignments presented in a variety of forms.
Work safely around powerful magnets and high voltage.

Responsibilities

Use specialized electrical and mechanical tools and fixtures to complete assemblies.
Follow assembly procedures, instruction manuals, engineering drawings, and material/pick lists to complete assemblies.
Work with epoxies and adhesives as required for assembly applications.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and keep equipment organized.
Perform basic tack or spot welding; prepare, assemble, and tack parts and surfaces for welding; and straighten material after welding.
Design, create, or modify fixtures to improve safety and production.
Operate a plasma cutter, ceramic saw, overhead cranes, clamping devices, presses, and porta power.
Operate power equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts when needed.
Use tools and equipment including hand tools, manual machine tools, a torch, and a drill press.
Learn Eriez’s labor and work-order collection system.
Notify the supervisor upon discovering faulty equipment or defective materials.
Complete tasks efficiently and on time as directed by the supervisor.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
