The M.E.P. Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems for commercial construction projects. The role helps ensure building systems operate as intended by managing compliance requirements, supporting building automation integration, and coordinating testing, startup, and closeout activities in fast-paced project environments. The coordinator works with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to align MEP work with project drawings, specifications, commissioning plans, and owner requirements, and supports documentation, verification, and turnover for compliant, well-functioning building systems. Experienced coordinators may take on more complex systems-integration responsibilities, lead commissioning meetings, work directly with owners and facility teams, help resolve field-driven MEP challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement in project execution. The role calls for accuracy, attention to system performance and safety, problem-solving, and a commitment to quality results throughout construction and commissioning.
