About The Position

nepf is a boutique management consulting firm that specializes in M&A integration, AI and digital transformation, enterprise change management, and operating model redesign for Fortune 1000 companies. We are seeking a Consulting Manager to support M&A-initiated business transformation engagements for large, complex organizations. This role covers the entire M&A lifecycle, from pre-close integration planning to post-merger stabilization and value capture. The ideal candidate is comfortable with project details and presenting recommendations to senior leadership, possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and can proactively take ownership of work. You will design integration approaches, develop workstream plans, drive delivery, and manage risks and dependencies. This role offers exposure to AI-enabled consulting offerings and professional growth opportunities in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of client-facing consulting experience, with significant exposure to M&A integration engagements from due diligence through post-close.
  • Proven delivery across the M&A lifecycle, including pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, and post-close merger integration.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional integration workstreams at large organizations (5,000+ employees).
  • Solid change management experience, guiding organizations through M&A-driven transitions.
  • Experience working in global or multi-geography M&A environments with cross-border integration complexity.
  • Clear, confident communication skills: strong writing, credible presentation abilities, ability to read a room, and adept at building strong client relationships.
  • A solid consulting track record and the agility to thrive in a boutique environment; taking ownership and operating proactively.
  • Deep functional knowledge in at least one corporate back-office domain (HR, Finance, IT, Supply Chain) in the context of M&A integration.
  • Experience working alongside or within an Integration Management Office (IMO).
  • AI fluency and genuine curiosity about how AI is changing consulting delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in a relevant field such as business, psychology, or a related discipline.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, with the ability to leverage these tools for data analysis and client presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Support M&A integration programs end-to-end, from pre-close planning through post-merger stabilization as part of the Integration Management Office.
  • Manage project planning, stakeholder management, issue resolution, resource coordination, and decision documentation.
  • Act as a trusted partner to clients, building strong relationships with deal teams, integration management offices, functional teams, and executive sponsors.
  • Provide strategic perspective and hands-on execution to help clients navigate integration complexity.
  • Develop and execute change management and communications strategies addressing the people side of M&A, including cultural integration, organizational redesign, and workforce transitions.
  • Mentor and manage junior team members, providing direct, actionable feedback and investing in their growth.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and contributing to the marketing of nepf's AI-enabled offerings.
