About The Position

We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide essential support and care to an individual in their home. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the client’s safety, comfort, and well-being while promoting independence through care tailored to the client’s needs. This is a backup or per-diem-as-needed position, with typically two to three shifts becoming available each week. The posting says the candidate is needed to start as soon as possible.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of family planning principles to support clients’ overall well-being.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect the confidentiality and privacy of client information.
• Familiarity with the use of durable medical equipment (DME).
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations, particularly in PICU or similar environments.

Nice To Haves

• Background in nursing or critical care is highly desirable for patient assessment.
• Experience in assisted living environments or acute care settings is a plus.
• Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques to monitor client health status.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
• Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as required.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor health conditions.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Communicate with family members and healthcare professionals about client progress and needs.
• Document care provided and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior.
