About The Position

Maravilla, an assisted living community in Santa Barbara, is hiring a full-time floor nurse to work five evening shifts per week, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The anticipated pay range is $45–$46 per hour. The LVN provides compassionate nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and works with caregivers and medication aides to meet residents’ needs. The position reports to the Director of Assisted Living. The community includes 97 Assisted Living apartments and 20 Memory Care apartments. The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors, is compassionate, communicates well, documents effectively, and brings a positive attitude to a collaborative team. Requirements

Current LVN license.
At least one year of experience as an LVN.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a variety of people and personalities.
Initiative, judgment, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct caregivers and medication aides.
Communicate with residents, families, physicians, and third-party providers.
Perform resident assessments.
Order and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor residents’ responses to existing treatment plans.
Provide care to residents as needed.
Assist the Director of Assisted Living with staffing schedules and daily staffing issues.
