The LVN is responsible for providing safe, compassionate and focused nursing care to assigned patients with predictable health care needs, utilizing the principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other health team members. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas
  • BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment. This must be obtained prior to providing patient care.
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others
  • Ability to remain calm during stressful situations
  • Ability to respond to pages
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
  • Bending, lifting (minimum of 25 pounds), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
  • Able to identify appropriate data and interprets its significance to clinical and operational activities
