About The Position

PAM Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide nursing care on a hospital nursing unit. The LVN works under the direction of an RN and delivers care in an age- and population-appropriate manner consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. The role includes gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures. Other related duties may be assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Hold current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital is located, or compact licensure if the state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required; certification must be AHA-approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current IV certification within 90 days of employment, if required by state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
• Gather and report patient data.
• Carry out orders.
• Perform therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
