About The Position

Flynn Elementary School in the Burlington School District seeks a reliable lunch/recess monitor who enjoys working with children and helps maintain a safe school climate. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Flynn school community and may already work part-time in the district.

This is a school-year position beginning August 27, 2025. The schedule is 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every school day and may vary depending on the school schedule.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive relationships with all students equally.
• Teach and reinforce cafeteria rules.
• Carry out the Champ Card positive reinforcement system.
• Collaborate and communicate with other lunch monitors, teachers, and administration.
• Help maintain a safe school climate.
