About The Position
Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is hiring a part-time, hourly Lunch/Recess Aide for the 2026–2027 school year at Margaret Beeks Elementary School. The position is 5.5 hours per day. The aide helps maintain order among students during lunch and recess, supports student movement between locations, performs general cafeteria housekeeping, communicates with teachers about student behavior, and assists cafeteria and teaching staff with other necessary duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and co-workers.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Dependability and punctuality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain order among children in the cafeteria and during recess.
- Assist in directing students to and from the cafeteria.
- Perform general housekeeping in the cafeteria.
- Assist cafeteria staff with other necessary duties.
- Assist in directing students to and from the playground and classroom.
- Communicate with teachers about student behavior during recess.
- Assist teachers with other necessary duties.
