About The Position

KIPP Jacksonville seeks a full-time lunch/hall monitor for KIPP Bold City High School. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students, staff, and school facilities by monitoring hallways and the cafeteria. The monitor will supervise students by ensuring adherence to norms and expectations, managing student behavior, assisting students in the serving line and hallways, and directing students to their tables and classes. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with high school students, be flexible, and excel at maintaining a smooth schedule.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Promptness
Passing a background check, as required by law
Background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida House Bill 531.

Responsibilities

Monitor hallways and cafeteria to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and school facilities.
Supervise students by ensuring norms and expectations for hallways and cafeteria are adhered to.
Use positive reinforcement and state clear expectations for students.
Follow the school’s steps to manage all student behavior(s).
Maintain the schedule for grade levels, including overseeing transitions, monitoring time, and giving time warnings.
Assist students through the serving line, hallways, and staircases as needed.
Direct students to their tables and classes as needed.
