26-27 High School Lunch/Hall Monitor (Full Time)
About The Position
KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks a full-time lunch/hall monitor at KIPP Bold City High School. This role is responsible for monitoring hallways and the cafeteria to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and school facilities. The monitor will supervise students by ensuring adherence to norms and expectations, using positive reinforcement, stating clear expectations, and managing student behavior according to school policies. They will also maintain the schedule for grade-level transitions, monitor time, give warnings, and assist students in the serving line, hallways, and staircases, as well as directing them to their tables and classes. Successful candidates will enjoy working with high school students, be flexible, and excel at helping a schedule run smoothly.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Promptness
- Passing a background check, as required by law
- Background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida House Bill 531.

Responsibilities
- Monitor hallways and cafeteria to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and school facilities.
- Ensure that norms and expectations for the hallways and cafeteria are adhered to by using positive reinforcement.
- State clear expectations for students and follow the school’s steps to manage all student behavior(s).
- Maintain the schedule for grade levels, including overseeing transitions, monitoring time, and giving time warnings.
- Assist students, as needed, to get through the serving line and through the hallways and staircases.
- Assist, as needed, to direct students to their tables and classes.
