About The Position

The lunch monitor will oversee lunch and ensure student safety. This role involves overseeing students during lunch, addressing behavioral issues, and collaborating with kitchen staff and administrators. A key aspect is ensuring student safety and addressing any concerns in coordination with the Lead Lunch Monitor and school nurses. The position also requires integrating a gospel-centered message into daily responsibilities and demonstrating a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as it operates within a Private Christian School and Evangelical Church environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • No previous experience required
  • Ability to interact with students of all ages, helping them with lunch, instructing them on procedures, and maintaining a calm and organized lunch experience.
  • Ability to learn and use basic point of sale systems
  • Ability to work in the kitchen doing basic food prep and cleaning
  • Ability to be flexible to fill in as needed in the kitchen, a la carte and lunchroom
  • Employees are expected to have a demonstrated and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the lunchroom – 70%
  • Oversee students during lunch, address behavioral issues, and ensure student safety.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team and school administrators to solve problems related to the lunchroom.
  • Ensure Student Safety – 30%
  • Address any student safety or behavioral concerns in the lunchroom in coordination with the Lead Lunch Monitor.
  • Collaborate with school nurses and school leaders on student concerns.
  • Employees of New Life Church and Academy must be able to effectively integrate a gospel centered message into their day-to-day responsibilities, must be a born-again believer who exhibits the Fruit of the Spirit in their daily walk and a regular attendee and supporter of a church whose fundamental beliefs are evangelical in nature.
