About The Position

Sterling Buick GMC is seeking motivated Lube & Tire Technicians to perform essential maintenance services that help keep customers’ vehicles safe and efficient. This role is an entry point into automotive service, with the opportunity to develop skills and potentially grow into an Automotive Technician role. The dealership provides required training. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Pay is $14 per hour plus commission.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must be at least 18 years old due to insurance requirements.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Able to take direction from senior technicians.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Some hands-on experience performing basic vehicle maintenance is strongly preferred.
Automotive shop experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications.
Rotate, mount, and balance tires.
Perform multi-point vehicle inspections.
Identify potential vehicle concerns and report findings to service advisors or technicians.
Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
Follow dealership and industry safety procedures.
Complete required dealership training to continue developing skills.
