About The Position

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician to provide customer service and preventive maintenance services that help keep guests safe on the road. No prior automotive experience is required. Employees receive hands-on training through an award-winning program to learn oil changes, fluid checks and refills, tire rotations, battery testing and replacement, light and wiper inspections and replacement, 18-point maintenance checks, and other preventive maintenance services. The role is located at 11525 Eagle Dr, Mont Belvieu, Texas 77523. The work involves a non-climate-controlled environment and requires standing for up to eight hours, climbing stairs, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, and crouching, bending, twisting, and working with hands above the head. Weekend availability is likely; late nights and holidays are not worked.

Requirements

No previous automotive experience is required.
Bring a positive attitude, attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and a friendly attitude.
Have a desire to work as part of a customer-focused team.
Be able to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
Be fluent in English in reading, writing, and speaking.
Be able to stand for up to eight hours, climb stairs, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head.
Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Have schedule flexibility; weekend availability is likely.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests.
Perform preventive maintenance services on vehicles, including changing oil; checking and refilling fluids; rotating tires; testing and replacing batteries; inspecting and replacing lights and wipers; and performing 18-point maintenance checks.
Review and follow written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
