About The Position

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician to provide customer service and perform preventative maintenance services that help keep guests safe on the road. No previous automotive experience is required. The company provides an award-winning training program and hands-on support to teach technicians how to change oil; check and refill fluids; rotate tires; test and replace batteries; inspect and replace lights and wipers; perform an 18-point maintenance check; and complete other preventive maintenance services. The role is located at 10909 Al Highway 168, Boaz, Alabama 35957. Compensation is $14 per hour, paid weekly. The schedule offers no late-night hours and holidays off, though weekend availability is likely. The position includes hands-on training and career advancement potential, including the possibility of becoming a Service Center Manager within 18–24 months. Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests.
Perform preventative maintenance services on vehicles, including changing oil, checking and refilling fluids, rotating tires, testing and replacing batteries, inspecting and replacing lights and wipers, and performing an 18-point maintenance check.
Complete other preventive maintenance services as trained.
Review and follow written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
