About The Position

Hyundai of Las Vegas is seeking a Lube Technician to join their team. This position offers consistent work, unlimited earning potential, and a supportive team environment. As part of Lithia & Driveway, a large automotive retailer, this role provides stability and opportunity for growth. The technician will perform work efficiently and accurately according to dealership and manufacturer standards, diagnose malfunctions, ensure safety requirements are met, and road-test vehicles. Maintaining an organized workspace and ensuring customer vehicles are returned clean are also key responsibilities. The role requires completing all required training, acquiring and maintaining manufacturer and ASE certifications, and participating in assigned technical training. Constructive communication with other personnel and reporting safety concerns to management are expected. Punctuality is also a requirement.

Requirements

  • Automotive Technical Knowledge
  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
  • High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule with 1 day off during the week and all Sundays off.

Nice To Haves

  • Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, following Lithia and manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose cause of malfunction
  • Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements
  • Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work
  • Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results
  • Return special tools to proper place
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
  • Ensure that customer's vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
  • Complete all required training
  • Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training
  • Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management
  • Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management
  • Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel to satisfy customer needs.
  • Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
  • Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
