About The Position

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician to provide customer service and perform preventive maintenance services that help keep guests safe on the road. No previous automotive experience is required; employees receive hands-on training through an award-winning program. Training covers oil changes, checking and refilling fluids, tire rotations, testing and replacing batteries, inspecting and replacing lights and wipers, 18-point maintenance checks, and other preventive maintenance services. The role is located at 1201 State St N, Waseca, MN 56093. The work environment is non-climate-controlled. Weekend availability is likely, though employees do not work late nights or holidays. Compensation is $18 per hour, paid weekly. Terms and conditions apply, and benefits may vary by location.

Requirements

Have an eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer-focused team.
Be able to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
Be fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
Be able to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head.
Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests.
Perform preventive vehicle maintenance services.
Change oil and check and refill fluids.
Rotate tires.
Test and replace batteries.
Inspect and replace lights and wipers.
Perform an 18-point maintenance check.
Perform other preventive maintenance services.
