About The Position

Tonkin Hillsboro Chevrolet is seeking motivated, hands-on individuals to join their service department as Lube / Express Technicians. This role is presented as a paid career pathway, not just an entry-level job, offering hands-on training designed to build skills and prepare for advancement into a Certified Technician role. Technicians will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining real-world repair experience and developing a foundation for long-term success in the automotive industry. Requirements

1-3 years of experience as an automotive technician
Driver’s License
18 years or older
Clean driving record
Valid driver's license
Able to pass criminal background
Able to pass drug screen

Responsibilities

Diagnose automotive problems as they arise
Conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and replacing parts
Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process
Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team
