Requirements
- Previous customer service experience required; automotive service experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to upsell maintenance services ethically and effectively
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Basic understanding of automotive maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn dealership management systems
- Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally in the express service lane
- Consult with customers regarding routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections
- Accurately write repair orders and verify customer and vehicle information
- Clearly explain recommended services, pricing, and estimated completion times
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of express services
- Monitor workflow in the express lane to maintain efficiency and minimize wait times
- Keep customers informed of service progress and notify them of any additional recommendations
- Process payments and ensure all documentation is completed accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming service drive area
- Follow dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines to ensure compliance and quality standards
- Support the Service Team with additional tasks as needed to maintain smooth daily operations
