About The Position

Stella Maris is recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses to provide nursing care to residents in its long-term care facility. The role involves applying the nursing process to identify resident needs and coordinating appropriate interventions with the interdisciplinary team. Nurses provide direct care according to facility standards and nursing practice, monitor residents’ physical and mental status, respond to clinical changes and emergencies, communicate with staff, residents, medical practitioners, and family members, and maintain regulatory-compliant health records. The position also includes responding to resident call lights and providing compassionate physical and emotional support to residents and families. Twelve-hour shifts are available on days and nights, with part-time and full-time positions available.

Requirements

• LPN licensure in the State of Maryland.
• Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents of Stella Maris.
• Use the nursing process and interdisciplinary team approach to identify resident needs and provide appropriate interventions.
• Provide direct care in accordance with facility standards and standards of nursing practice.
• Monitor residents’ physical and mental status and respond to clinical changes and emergency situations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, residents, medical practitioners, and family members.
• Answer resident call lights and serve as a role model for the care team.
• Maintain patient health records and proper documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide compassionate physical and emotional support to patients and families.
