About The Position

The LPN works under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON), upholding medical routines, administering care, and serving as a link between residents and their families. The role includes providing clinical care, supporting residents with personal care and mobility, maintaining electronic medical records (EMR), evaluating residents’ well-being, reporting changes to medical staff, and explaining treatments to families. New graduates are welcome, and the position offers mentorship and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Active LPN license in the State of Maine.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, change dressings and bandages, check vital signs, and assist with basic medical procedures.
• Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Safely move residents between beds, wheelchairs, and gurneys.
• Maintain thorough updates in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Evaluate resident well-being and report changes to medical staff.
• Explain treatments to residents’ families.
