About The Position

Partnership Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with outpatient medical office experience for its outpatient Family Practice in Somerville, New Jersey. The office serves Somerset County workers and their families and offers onsite family medicine, laboratory, pharmacy, X-ray, physical therapy, and mental health services. This is a supervisory position that also acts as Nurse Manager overseeing the office. The LPN will oversee the front desk and medical assistants and track employees’ days off and vacation time. When needed, the LPN will provide direct clinical support, including assisting providers and patients throughout visits from intake and assessment through treatment and follow-up. The role requires clear communication, protection of patient privacy, and confidence in a busy outpatient environment.

Requirements

Current Licensed Practical Nurse credential.
Demonstrated outpatient or medical office experience.
Strong patient assessment, triage, medication administration, and medical documentation skills.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
Clear, respectful communication and sound judgment when supporting patients and collaborating with providers.

Nice To Haves

Epic experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Responsibilities

Oversee the front desk and medical assistants.
Track employees’ days off and vacation time.
Provide LPN support when needed.
Obtain vital signs and patient histories, and document findings and care in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
Assist with examinations and procedures, administer medications and injections as authorized, and collect or process specimens.
Respond to patient questions, communicate care instructions, and coordinate referrals or follow-up with the clinical team.
Maintain infection control practices, clinical confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.
