About The Position

Partnership Health, an outpatient Family Practice in Somerville, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with outpatient medical office experience. The office serves Somerset County workers and their families and offers onsite family medicine, laboratory, pharmacy, X-ray, physical therapy, and mental health services. This is a supervisory position that also oversees the office as Nurse Manager. The LPN will support providers and patients throughout clinic visits, from intake and assessment through treatment and follow-up, while maintaining clear communication, patient privacy, and organized care in a busy outpatient environment.

Requirements

Current Licensed Practical Nurse credential.
Demonstrated outpatient or medical office experience.
Strong patient assessment, triage, medication administration, and medical documentation skills.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
Clear, respectful communication and sound judgment when supporting patients and collaborating with providers.

Nice To Haves

Epic experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Responsibilities

Oversee the front desk and medical assistants.
Track employees’ days off and vacation time.
Provide LPN coverage as needed, including obtaining vital signs and patient histories and documenting findings and care in electronic medical records.
Assist with examinations and procedures; administer authorized medications and injections; and collect or process specimens.
Respond to patient questions, communicate care instructions, and coordinate referrals or follow-up with the clinical team.
Maintain infection control practices, clinical confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.
