LPN - Full Time - Neuroscience (Night Shift)

About The Position
The LPN is responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame, providing care through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment and instrumentation, and other health care team members. The role supervises Certified Nursing Assistants, Nurse Technicians, and Unit Assistants. The schedule is 36 hours per week, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with weekend and holiday requirements.
Requirements
- Successfully complete a Board Certified Nursing Program.
- Hold a current Louisiana LPN license.
- Maintain current BLS certification through an ILCOR-provided course; the course must include a manikin check-off.
- Hold IV Therapy certification.
- Meet additional certification requirements that may vary by department.
- Meet weekend and holiday requirements.
- Possess good physical health.
- Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods.
- Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
