About The Position

The LPN provides care to patients in a physician office setting under the supervision of a physician. The role includes assisting with treatments and procedures, rooming patients, overseeing patient flow, ordering nursing supplies, stocking exam rooms, and creating and maintaining office medical protocols. The LPN is expected to provide excellent customer service, maintain an organized and professional environment, and uphold high standards of patient safety while responding to patients and families with consideration and compassion. The position is full-time, with listed hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; hours may vary and require extreme flexibility.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
Current Connecticut state registration and license.
BLS certification.
Proficiency in taking patient vital signs, blood pressure, and temperature; venipuncture; cast removal; and suture and staple removal.
Strong knowledge of orthopedic practice procedures, including diagnoses, CPT codes, crutches, canes, and CAM walkers.
Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to work a schedule that may vary and requires extreme flexibility.

Nice To Haves

Minimum one year of acute or sub-acute care experience preferred.
