About The Position

The LPN provides care to patients in a physician office setting under the supervision of a physician. The role includes assisting with treatments and procedures, rooming patients, overseeing patient flow, ordering nursing supplies, stocking exam rooms, and creating and maintaining medical protocols for the office. The LPN is expected to deliver excellent customer service and maintain an organized, professional environment while promoting patient safety and responding to patients and families with consideration and compassion. The position is full-time, with a stated schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; hours may vary, and considerable flexibility is required.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
Current Connecticut state registration and license.
Current BLS certification.
Proficiency in taking patient vital signs, including blood pressure and temperature; venipuncture; cast removal; and suture and staple removal.
Strong knowledge of orthopedic practice procedures, including diagnoses, CPT codes, crutches, canes, and CAM walkers.
Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to be extremely flexible, as hours may vary.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of acute or sub-acute care experience is preferred.
